Brandy Anderson-Willis –

As a statewide consultant, I specialize in peer recovery implementation and supervisory support. I am an educated professional and recognized authority on the CAPRC certification exam, accredited by IC/RC, the Center for Excellence, and Essential Virtual Solutions. With over five years of experience as a CAPRC II, CPSP, and lead facilitator for the CCAR Recovery Coach Certification, my journey began as a volunteer at the Center for Community Justice in Elkhart, IN. My skills encompass supervising peers and handling ethical issues. Currently, I am the Founder and CEO of Integrated Recovery Support Services, offering support to recovery professionals and organizations adopting recovery coaching. I am close to completing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at IUSB and plan to pursue a Master's degree. Additionally, I am involved with the Bullying & Suicide Prevention and Online Safety Task Force and lead an Alternatives to Suicide Peer Support Group in Indiana, advocating that recovery is achievable for everyone. I am dedicated to creating and executing programs that bolster peer support recovery roles, and my technical knowledge and commitment to this area make me a fervent proponent of peer services.

Takisha Jacobs –

In 2019, I co-founded Connect 2 Be the Change Ltd (C2BTC) following the tragic loss of my 15-year-old son, Abdul Cross. This experience propelled me into the nonprofit sector, where I have become a recognized Community Leader and Advocate for youth and young adults. Presently, I serve as a Peer Recovery Coach for The Upper Room and a Community Health Worker (CHW) for St. Joe County. My dedication to eradicating the stigma around mental health, raising awareness of gun violence, and advocating for trauma-informed care practices is well-known.

My commitment lies in establishing new norms in my community for seeking mental health care and transforming the reaction to anger from one of violence to one of healing. This mission involves introducing young people to new environments and perspectives to foster alternative coping mechanisms for trauma. My dedication to preventing gun violence and promoting mental health awareness is making a significant impact in South Bend's Southeast community. As a Peer Recovery Coach, I focus on helping an underserved population access mental health and substance abuse services, as well as other community resources, while also building partnerships with non-profit organizations in the Michiana region.
